Who we are
Serving young women in Ghana and giving them hope
History • Sweetwater House was established through Today’s Choices—USA by two American women who desired to help young girls in Ghana, West Africa acquire vocational skills training, come to know Christ and be discipled in the Word of God. We have been ministering in Ghana, West Africa since 1993 and purchased a residential home in December, 2005, where these precious young girls live for two years. We bought a home in December of 2005, completely paid for it, furnished it and hired staff. The first class to live in the new house graduated in June of 2008 (see above, left).
Current • Needy young girls between the ages of 16 and 21 are admitted to the boarding facility of Sweetwater House. They undergo vocational training for a period of 2 years. Over the two years, these Sweetwater girls will be taught Bible, English, sewing, art, health, computer, reading and writing skills. (Incoming class, Fall of 2008 see right)
Future: Training of the new class, inspiring stories, Art Class and fun pictures of the girls!
Mission Statement: “Today’s Choices-USA is a ministry that affirms the value of human life and the transforming power of Jesus Christ in the lives of individuals through evangelism, discipleship, and education.”
