Each year, we have a Christmas party before everyone leaves for the holiday break. There was plenty of food (jalof rice, chicken, salad, fufu–which is a favorite local dish and soup) and special beverages (malt sodas, Cokes and Fanta orange). It is a special day! Unfortunately, this year we were not able to have music because there was a problem with the electricity… This is Ghana Life! But we still had a great time!
The Christmas break is three weeks long and many of the girls travel long distances to spend time with their friends and families. Sweetwater House follows the public school calendar, much like the one in the States.
Again, thank you so much for all that you do to make Sweetwater Ministries a place of joy and celebration for our 24 students and staff. May God richly bless you all!!!
